Mrs. Laverne Helen Pollice

February 11, 1924 - March 12, 2010

LaVerne H. Pollice, nee Rohde, 86, Born on February 11, 1924 in Chicago, IL, she passed away peacefully at Northwest Community Hospital on March 12, 2010. Loving mother of Monica (Martin) McDonnell, Dear grandmother of Kathryn, Martin and Matthew McDonnell.

Raised and married at St. Andrew's Parish in Chicago, LaVerne attended Alvernia H.S. and Wright Jr. College. She was a loving only child of Leo and Margaret Rohde and a loving and dedicated mother and grandmother. She was a strong, caring person whose greatest joy was spending time with her family. She was a gracious hostess, accomplished knitter, seamstress and pianist. Waiting for her in Heaven to welcome her home was her husband of 54 years, John Anthony Pollice and her precious son John Martin "Buddy" Pollice. She was a faithful Catholic who had a strong devotion to Mary and the Rosary in her daily prayer life.

Funeral Information

Visitation Monday 3-9 PM at Smith-Corcoran Funeral Home, 185 E. Northwest Hwy, Palatine and Tuesday 9:30 AM until time of Mass at 10:30 AM at Holy Family Catholic Church, 2515 W. Palatine Road, Inverness. Interment Maryhill Cemetery.
