SR. Mary Martin Gehl

February 20, 1916 - March 15, 2010

Sister Mary Martin Gehl, O.S.B. died on March 15, 2010 at St. Scholastica Monastery. Sister was a member of the Benedictine Sisters of Chicago for 68 years. Sister Mary Martin was the daughter of the late Mary C. Jansen, and William J. Gehl; beloved sister of Loretta Gehl (Richard) of Bella Vista, AK; beloved aunt of many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her other siblings: Harris (Vera), Evelyn (Gerald) Gerth and Dorothy (Henry) Lescher. She is survived by her family and by the loving Sisters of her community.

Funeral Information

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 10, 2010 at St. Scholastica Monastery, 7430 N. Ridge Blvd., Chicago, IL 60645. Visitation will precede the Funeral Mass from 9:00 a.m. until the time of Mass. Interment: All Saints Cemetery.
