Mrs. Jane A. Geis

Jane A. Geis (nee Addison), age 88, beloved wife of the late George J. Loving mother of George (Donna), Tom (Michelle), John (fiance Jami Carrington) and Alice (Keith Johnson) Geis. Proud grandmother of Andrea (Michael) Mostardi, Brennan, Connor and John Geis; Emma and Walter Johnson-Geis. Devoted daughter of the late Cecil and Alice Addison. Dear sister of the late Kathryn (Arthur) Welch and Alice "Lolly" (the late J. Laurence) Barasa. Jane worked as a registered dietician in Chicago during WWII supporting the troops. After raising four children she worked as a dietician for the Bohemian Home for the Aged and Booth Memorial Hospital of the Salvation Army. Jane and George Geis were founding members of St. Mary of the Woods Parish and were involved with religious education. She made and kept friends through all the phases and places of her life - including St. Ignatius Parish, St. Scholastica Academy, Mundelein College, St. Mary of the Woods Parish and L'Anse, MI in the Upper Peninsula.

Funeral Information

Funeral Mass Wednesday 10:00 am at St. Mary of the Woods Church, 7000 N. Moselle, Chicago. Interment Calvary Cemetery. Visitation Tuesday 3-9 pm at Smith-Corcoran Funeral Home, 6150 N. Cicero Ave., Chicago.
