Mrs. Wol Sung Yim

Wol Sung Yim, age 79 of Mokena, Illinois returned to be with her Lord, Jesus Christ on Saturday, February 4, 2012 at Chicago, Illinois. She was born the daughter of SangJo Lee (SuAn Clan) and ChangSoon Yoon (PaPyong Clan) on October 24, 1932 in Tokyo, Japan. She was united in marriage to YoungSoon Yim on April 5, 1952 in Hong Dong, Choong Nam, Korea. She was baptized on Easter Sunday in 1981 by Paster Yi Sup Park of Korean United Methodist Church of Homewood, Illinois. Mrs. Yim worked most of her life raising her children to be productive citizens. Additionally she enjoyed gardening, art and calligraphy. She was trilingual and to the last day of her life she applied herself in book learning. Her and her family immigrated to U.S. and lived in Chicago, Illinois area since 1979.

She is survived by her son Chul Bin Yim of Buchon, Korea; Hong Bin Yim of Mokena, Illinois; her beloved daughters: Un Kyong Bae of Los Angeles, California; Mi Kyong Park of Princeton, New Jersey; 8 grand children; brothers; Chung Sung Lee of Hong Seong, Korea, InSung of Harrison, Michigan; and a sister Soon Sung Oaks of Midland, Michigan, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and an infant son who passed away in 1960; older brother Hui Sung Lee in Korean War; and sister Young Ja.

Funeral Information

Service 8:00PM Wednesday at Korean United Methodist Church of South Suburban Chicago, 19320 South Kedzie Avenue, Flossmoor, IL. Funeral Ceremony Thursday 10:00AM at Church. Interment private at the Skyline Memorial Park Cemetery in Monee, Illinois.
