James Paul Gaynor Jr., 85, of Elk Grove Village, Il., died peacefully on January 19. He was born in Evanston, Il., on July 28, 1926, to James and Margaret Gaynor.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 44 years, Georgia and son Kevin; survived by his children, Kathleen (Fred ) Ruegsegger, Colleen Gaynor, James Gaynor III, Terrence (Judy) Gaynor, Mary Gaynor, Michael (Cindy) Gaynor, Shawn (Lisa) Gaynor, Timothy Gaynor, Matthew (Phyllis) Gaynor, and Jennifer (Rick) Riehman; sister Margaret Gaynor; 16 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. He served in the Navy during WWII and the Korean Conflict.
Funeral Information
Visitation Sunday 4:00-9:00PM at Smith-Corcoran Funeral Home, 185 E. Northwest Hwy., Palatine. Funeral service Monday, 10:00AM at the funeral home. Interment St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery.
